Zen Garden
A zen garden is a Japanese rock garden, a miniature stylized landscape. It’s essence is to imitate the feeling of nature through its arrangement of rocks, trees, moss and water features. This zen garden was discovered during a vacation to Panama in 2007. This particular location is the Anton Valley zoo.
The stone lantern by the waterfall gives the sense of a country retreat in the mountains – a suggestion of departure from worldly affairs. Around the lantern, a spray of fresh flower blossoms invites the eye to wander around the scene. As your attention finds the water fall its silvery cascade carries your regard into the reservoir below, now deep with composure and restful quietude.
